Codfish (Minimum size limit 38 cm) The Langelandbelt is famous for its Codfish. Here even very big Codfish are frequently caught. Often the Anglers catch Cods around 15 Pound of weight and every year Cod in the range of 30 to 40 Pounds of weight are caught. The average Codfish, weighs between 2 and 6 Pound - no matter if you fishing from big Fishing Vessel or a small Boat you are able to catch Codfish in the Waters round South end of Langeland the entire Year. Winter: After long periods with temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius the Codfish migrate from the deeps and situate themselves on the edge of the Currents. But in winters with temperatures around 0 degrees Celsius, you are most likely to find the Codfish in the Shallow water in depths between 2 to 6 Meters. Spring: In the Springtime months April, May and June the Cod are often found in depths between 3 to 14 Meters, where they are praying.
